Stuff the Bus

The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, in partnership with Richland County Solid Waste, will host Stuff the Bus, a program aimed at supporting local schools by providing them with basic school supply needs, today through Aug. 17.

“Mid-Ohio ESC is excited to partner with Richland County Solid Waste to serve the school districts of Richland County,” Executive Director of Education Matt Lutz said. “The opportunity to provide much-needed school supplies to the youth in our region is part of our mission as a service provider. I highly encourage other business and community members to get involved.”

The program, which is open to any school district in the Richland County area, is based solely off public donations. Those interested in donating to the program can drop off items between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Richland County Solid Waste, located at 1125 National Parkway in Mansfield. One-hundred percent of the items will go toward supporting the local schools.

  • Number 2 pencils
  • Black and blue pens

“The Richland County Regional Solid Waste Management Authority’s goal is to reduce the volume of waste that is placed in our local landfill and to promote the theme ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ for the many items we use in our daily lives,” Metcalf said.  “We believe in helping out our schools, community and local businesses as much as we can.  Please join us in supporting our local schools in Richland County by donating the basic school supplies needed.  Remember to buy Recycled Products whenever possible.  We thank you for your continued support and appreciate any help to make Stuff the Bus Event successful.”
