Alternative Programs
Mid-Ohio ESC is the sponsor of several alternative programs to help our districts in their efforts to best serve all students. These programs each offer individual and unique services to the students they serve.
- ABRAXAS houses teenage males assigned to the school through Ohio’s courts and the County Department of Children Services.
- F.I.R.S.T. School is a residential treatment school for boys and girls, ages 12-21, diagnosed with one or more psychiatric healthcare needs and operates in cooperation with Foundations for Living.
- FUTURES serves up to twenty-four 5th through 12th grade students in a highly structured environment that emphasizes high academic standards. Referrals are accepted from district special education coordinators in conjunction with building administrators.
