This professional development will introduce participants to the Ohio Department of Education Comprehensive Monitoring Process and emphasizes the critical role of the Evaluation Team Report in ensuring compliant practices to promote "significant progress" for students, in an educational program that is "appropriately ambitious in light of (his/her) circumstances" (Endrew F. v. Douglas County School District).

Participants may come as individuals or in teams to become familiar with Ohio Department of Education processes for compliant ETRs, and to apply Office of Exceptional Children tools and reference resources through exercises with actual student data to improve their ETR practices.

This training is recommended for district-level special education administrators and supervisors, district-employed school psychologists and assistants, pre-referral and evaluation team members, and related services providers.

Participants should bring a laptop or tablet, a completed ETR that has personally identifiable data redacted, and raw data related to an evaluation in progress.
