Mansfield, OH (June 12, 2025) – As part of Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center’s dedication to promoting professional development among area educators, administrators and other staff, a full calendar of network meetings has been scheduled for the 2025-2026 school year. All network meetings will take place on the Mid-Ohio campus, 890 W. Fourth Street in Mansfield.
These meetings are designed to provide a combination of professional learning, ODE updates, networking and collaborative problem-solving. There will be networking opportunities on a bi-monthly basis for the following:
- Principals
- Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment,
- District Test Coordinators,
- School Counselors,
- Technology Coaches,
- Student Services,
- Special Education Coordinators and
- Art Teachers

Mansfield, OH (June 10, 2025) – In observance of the upcoming holidays, the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center offices will operate on a different schedule. All offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19th, for Juneteenth and Friday, July 4th for the holiday. Excluding these dates, the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fingerprinting services continue to be by appointment only.

Mansfield, OH (June 3, 2025) – Mid-Ohio ESC is excited to announce Includapalooza, a conference for school-based professionals, to be held at the Mid-Ohio ESC Conference Center on August 12, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This conference is for school-based professionals, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, school psychologists, intervention specialists, general education teachers, administrators and others who work directly with students.
“I am looking forward to connecting with fellow therapists, both in and out of school settings, at the MOESC Includapalooza Conference! It will be a wonderful opportunity to learn, share and grow together in support of the students we serve,” said Shannon Landin, PTA. “It will be a great day to network with great presenters and others attending the conference.”
This one-day conference will feature expert speakers presenting sessions approved for continuing education, totaling six contact hours. The event includes two keynote presentations followed by multiple breakout sessions.

Dr. Audet explores how executive functioning impacts learning and social skills in students with autism, and presents strategies for understanding and supporting behavioral needs through a developmental lens.
Dr. Richard Cowan: Selecting and Implementing Interventions to Help Students Get Started on Tasks, Maintain On-Task Performance and Achieve Enhanced Performance in the School Setting

Mansfield, OH (May 29, 2025) — Glenna Plotts and Kyle Swigart, Mid-Ohio ESC board members, were presented with the Ohio School Boards Association's Distinguished Board Member Award during the May 21st Mid-Ohio ESC board meeting.
The Distinguished Board Member Award is given to school board members in recognition of their years of service. Plotts and Swigart were both recognized for 10 years of service on the Mid-Ohio ESC Governing Board. Plotts also serves on the Tri Rivers Career Center Board of Education.

Mansfield, OH (May 20, 2025) – Mid-Ohio ESC is offering a comprehensive, full-day legal seminar for superintendents and administrators at the Mid-Ohio ESC Conference Center, 890 W. Fourth Street, Mansfield in collaboration with BASA and Weston Hurd LLP.

Target Audience: superintendents and administrators planning for the 2025-2026 school year
This Seminar Will Address: current issues in student discipline, booster and parent support organization best practices, licensure code considerations and staff investigation best practices, effective staff and student handbooks, and legislative and legal updates for the 2025-2026 school year
In addition, the seminar will include breakfast, lunch, networking opportunities and a question and answer session. Participants in BASA workshops will receive a certificate of completion. Participants should discuss the outcomes oftheir experience with their Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC).
