Mentor Academy - Ohio Resident Educator Program 2022-23

New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the 12-hour Mentor Academy Training to receive state mentor certification. The Academy focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of instructional mentoring. Mentors are introduced to the essential content of mentoring to prepare them to support the instructional growth and
development of Resident Educators.
This is a hybrid training requiring participants to access both the ODE Learning Management System and the Virtual Zoom meetings held by the Mid-Ohio ESC.
To be certified as a Resident Educator mentor, participants will engage in eight hours of self-guided online work over a two-week period and participate in 2, two-hour Zoom meetings facilitated by State Mentor Trainers.
Registration is not complete until you email your name and your training dates to Linda Williams at lwilliamsmentoracademy@gmail.com. This will allow you to receive important information and materials for this training. There is online work required prior to the first Web-meeting date so it is important that you email Linda ASAP. She will respond by sending you the information you need to get started with online portion of this training. Also, please make sure you email address is correct in your OHID account.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a 30 minute virtual orientation meeting on August 11, 4:-5:30PM. Access information will be forwarded to all participants in an email with other course materials and information.
