Mansfield City Schools Announces Treasurer Search

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center is pleased to announce the following posting for the Mansfield City School District. 

The Search

Mansfield City School District Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Treasurer.  The expected start date of the new treasurer will be no later than August 1, 2024.

 

About Mansfield City Schools

The Mansfield City School District, located in north central Ohio, Richland County, has an enrollment of 3153 students. The Board is seeking a leader that is enthusiastic and visionary, demonstrates a high degree of moral integrity, inspires confidence and trust, and promotes open communication. The Mid-Ohio ESC is assisting the Board in its search. The district has many exciting features and accomplishments to be proud of. The district has a total of 6 school buildings: Springmill STEM Elementary (grades K-6), Mansfield Spanish Immersion School (designed as a Blue-Ribbon School), Sherman Elementary (grades PS-2), Malabar Intermediate School (grades 3-6), and a joint campus that houses a state-of-the-art middle school and high school. Mansfield Middle school offers graduate pathways to success with North Central State College and the Mansfield High School is a comprehensive high school offering a competitive array of college, career, and technical programs. Students have a non-traditional school option through the Tyger Digital Academy which is available for students from kindergarten through twelfth grade.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Hold a valid State of Ohio Treasurer’s license or evidence that one will be obtained;
  • Hold a Certified Public Investment Certification;
  • Previous School Treasurer experience preferred;
  • Experience in fiscal procedures;
  • Sound fiscal management procedures;
  • Experience in school finance, budget preparation, fiscal strategic planning and forecasting, funds management and business operations;
  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills;
  • Knowledge of Ohio Revised Code as it relates to a school treasurer and treasurer responsibilities;
  • Ability to skillfully provide financial leadership for the district;
  • Demonstrate a high degree of moral character and professionalism that reflects positively upon the district.

Salary & Contract

It is the intention of the Board to offer the successful candidate a multi-year contract with a starting annual salary of $110,000 (negotiable).
