MOESC hires experienced Director of Student Services
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (MOESC) Board of Governors approved Jennifer Crum as the new Director of Student Services during its regular board meeting May 22. She will officially begin her duties in this new role August 1.
Crum has been serving as the Director of Student Services for the Wooster City Schools since 2013. Prior to her role at Wooster, she served as the Student Services Supervisor for the Alliance City Schools for three years.
“We are very excited to bring Jennifer to the leadership team at MOESC,” interim Superintendent Ed Swartz said. “She is incredibly well respected around the state and will be an invaluable asset in delivering services to our client districts.”
Crum’s experience includes coordinating a district Universal Design for Learning Committee and multi-phase professional development. She also has experience coordinating Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) programs and social emotional learning programming and mental health services.
“I look forward to working with the new administrative team that Superintendent Kimmel is assembling and believe that I will fit well with this team and look forward to making a positive impact on the lives of others,” she said. “I look forward to meeting and establishing relationships with the personnel of member districts and with the staff of support organizations that collaborate with MOESC.”
The Director of Student Services plans, supervises and coordinates all student services for all MOESC client districts. This includes preschool and alternative programs, related therapy services, psychological services, home instruction and other related student need services.
“I am humbled and honored to have been selected for this position,” Jennifer said. “I have been very fortunate to have had many mentors who have shared impactful guidance throughout my career, and I am eager to share with others, what has been shared with me, to help them succeed.”
Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center provides specialized academic and support services to 15 school districts and over 22,000 students in Crawford, Morrow and Richland Counties. Client Districts receive services from curriculum, gifted and special education consultants, speech pathologists, psychologists, special education teachers, occupational therapists and physical therapists.
