MOESC Hosting OSCES Training
School counselors play an instrumental role in school districts throughout Ohio by helping guide students toward success in education and their future careers. In response to changes in state law, Ohio created a standards-based evaluation policy for school counselors that provides them with useful feedback and support as they grow and learn professionally.
All evaluators of school counselors in Ohio must complete the one-day Ohio School Counselor Evaluation System (OSCES) training conducted by state trainers. Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center will hold this training on September 9th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mid-Ohio campus. The trainers are Dr. Mark E. Burke, Jr. and Kelly Dever-Britton. Lunch will be on your own.
To register for this training, go to https://safe.ode.state.oh.us/portal. The registration deadline is September 3rd. Cost is $125. Anyone with questions can call Kevin D. Kimmel at 419-774-5520 or email email@example.com.
